The Great Western Nation’s Annual Fall Campout
Cape Henlopen State Park, October 7- 9, 2011
(Friday arriving after 2pm to Sunday 11am departure)
Come and enjoy this weekend with your friends and your family at the camps of Cape Henlopen. During the day, activities range from Olympics (featuring the ever popular egg-toss), to hiking on the sand dunes, to exploring the marine museum, to bike riding on the many miles of trails (bring your own or there is a limited number of rental bikes available), to fishing or even a swim in the surf (if you dare).
We will all eat family style, with each expedition sharing in the responsibilities of food shopping, preparing, cooking and clean up for one meal. The overall cost for all of the food will be evenly divided by the number of attendees, no matter how many meals one may have eaten.
Where and What to Bring: We will be sleeping in WWII barracks that have cots, cement floors and bathhouses with hot and cold running water, including showers. Bring your sleeping bags, pillows, snacks, hiking boots or shoes, bikes, fishing poles, flashlights, firewood and change of clothes especially any t-shirts that are from the Great Western Nation and/or your group.
Cost for camping is $34 per person for either one night or the entire weekend. Cabin assignments will be provided to your Expedition Leader by Thursday night before we leave as well as posted at the campsite once you arrive. The price does NOT include price of food, which will be determined on Sunday.
